Tone Design is Tony Phillips, an independent creative director and designer working with a diverse range of clients. Over the past year we have completed a number of projects, differing in discipline and scale, including: Working alongside the digital agency De-construct to design the interior graphics for the music retailer Fibre in the new Selfridges department store in Birmingham. The design and production of record sleeves for Carbonrecordings. On-going design consultancy and print production for Elisabeth Murdoch's television company Shine. Environmental branding for the business consultants Control Risks Group in their new headquarters in SE1. Some of our more current projects include a brand identity and print design for the London based architects Mattinson Associates and we have recently been engaged by Amnesty International as consultants on the environmental graphics for their refurbished headquarters. Prior to setting up Tone Design in 2003, Tony Phillips was one of the founding members of the digital creative agency De-construct. As a creative director he was involved in a number of key projects notably including the direction and design of the Lumix Award; an online digital photography competition for Panasonic. He was also involved in the design and management of projects for clients such as Celador, Carbon Records, GuinessUDV, Olympia, Shine, Tag Heuer and Technics. De-construct was founded in 2001 following the demise of the new media agency Deepend where Tony was a design director in their London office. While at the agency he art directed a number of award-winning projects including Conran's consumer website and sites for Britshorts and Designer's Block. Tony was a senior designer at Imagination in the interactive media team before moving to Deepend in 2000. He worked as a key member of the Ericsson account team and designed and art directed interactive challenges for Andersen Consulting, and interactive installations in the Talk Zone for BT in the Millennium Dome. During his three years at the agency he was also involved in projects for Ford, Hammerson, the NEC Group and Volvo. Over the last few years Tony has given various industry talks and television interviews. He has written reviews for the design press and was invited to judge the ICAD Awards (Institute of Creative Advertising & Design) in Dublin in 2001 and the BIMA Awards in London in 2002.
